Since leaving Adobe, I have been contracting for myself or at such companies as LWI in Sunnyvale. I have been writing, illustrating and publishing a children's book. And I have been filling in as an office/receptionist while looking for further contract positions in the graphic field. I worked in a Macintosh and Windows compatible environment using most of the Adobe line of software to product illustrations and formatting for customer documentation. This included graphics and production for web tutorials. It also included project lead for such products as Illustrator CS and Encore DVD, which required production work for the html help systems.

I worked in Macintosh and Windows 95 using Illustrator to create exploded isometrics for illustrated part catalogs on wafer manufacturing equipment.

As the sole illustrator in publications, I worked in Windows 95 and Windows NT with CorelDraw, Photoshop, Word, and FrameMaker to create and edit technical illustrations. I produced bitmaps and .gifs for screen displays and HTML documents.

I worked with Photoshop and Freehand on a Power PC to turn manually created illustrations into EPS files for electronic publishing of the 18th edition of the Fire Protection Handbook. All work was done independently following standards provided.

I worked via modem designing page layouts and creating illustrations for technical manuals. Major finished projects include the Classys Users Guide, the Pentax PocketJet Printer User's Guide, and The ACIS Open Modeling Primer.

I worked on Sun and Solbourne workstations using vi editor, Anvil CAD and FrameMaker software to produce isometric illustrations for service manuals. As the sole illustrator in Publications, I was responsible for setting up procedures, standards, filing systems and production for all hardware documentation graphics.

I produced illustrated parts catalogs for new products, and originated isometrics and orthographics for maintenance manuals. I also prepared graphics for three annual field engineering awards conferences including invitations, calligraphy, award designs and printing coordination. I imitiated and put in place a drawing file system and also became proficient with NBI ProPublisher desktop publisher.

While at StorageTek I held three different positions, ending as a Design Illustrator.
- As a Design Illustrator I led projects for maintenance manuals and illustrated parts catalogs. I was involved in developmental work on a Graftek CAD system for technical illustrations.
- As a Senior Mechanical Draftsman, I prepared mechanical-electrical drafting including piece part drawings, assemblies, weldments, sheet metal, castings, logics, schematics, specification packages, and manufacturing instructions.
- As a Senior Technical Illustrator I created in-house signs, posters, slides, and transparencies. I originated artwork for manuals including flowcharts, diagrams, and photographic work. I was responsible for creating illstrated parts catalogs including isometric assemblies, indexed lists, pagination, paste-up and subsequent EC changes.

- Society for Technical Communication, Silicon Valley Chapter (1997 - present) - designed the new chapter logo and became the Design and Graphics Editor responsible for producing the newsletter, 2001.
- Society for Technical Communication, Rocky Mountain Chapter (1983-85) - initiated and produced a technical illustration feature column for the monthly newsletter. Merit and Achievement Award (1995-96) - for work submitted to the Art, Publications and Online Competition.
- Co-founder and president of AppleBUG, Apple Bahamas Users Group (1994-95) - edited and produced the group newsletter and organized meetings and speakers.
